Lock your PC from your phone

Lock your PC with one tap, or let it lock itself when your phone has been away for a while. Unlocking from the phone isn’t possible.

Stepped away and forgot to lock? Lock the PC from your phone, or set walk-away lock so it locks itself when your phone’s connection has been gone for a set time.

Steps

  1. Allow screen lock on the PC

    On the PC open your phone › Permissions and set Screen lock to Allow.

  2. Lock now

    Tap Lock PC on the phone. From another PC, open the device and choose Lock › Lock now.

  3. Set up walk-away lock

    On the PC open Settings › Security & organisation › Walk-away lock, choose your phone and a time under Lock after (30 seconds to 10 minutes).

Good to know

  • Unlocking the PC from the phone isn’t supported; sign in on the PC as usual.
  • If your phone’s battery saver stops the app, walk-away lock may lock sooner than you expect. See Stop Android from pausing the app.
  • Command line: pdb lock <device> and pdb presence --device <phone> --grace 60.
