Keep a folder in sync on two devices
Make a folder identical on two devices in both directions. Older versions are kept for 30 days and conflicts never lose a file.
Folder sync compares a folder on two devices and copies changes both ways. It runs when you click Sync now, so you stay in control of when data moves.
Steps
Allow folder sync on both devices
Each device must allow Folder sync for the other one in its permissions (off by default).
Add the folder on both sides
On the PC open Folder sync › Add a folder. On Android tap Folder sync › Add folder. Give the folder the same name on both devices.
Sync
Click Sync now. New, changed and deleted files are carried over in both directions.
Versions and conflicts
Replaced or deleted files are kept for 30 days in a hidden .pdb-versions folder. If the same file changed on both sides, the newer one wins and the other copy is kept, so nothing is lost.
Good to know
- On Android, synced folders live in the app’s own storage (
Sync/<name>). Use the app to add, open or share files there. - Command line:
pdb sync.
