Back up phone photos to your PC without a cable
Copy new photos and videos from your Android phone to your own Windows PC, sorted by year and month, even automatically while charging on Wi-Fi.
Use Photo backup on the phone: pick your PC, tap Back up now, and new photos and videos are copied to Pictures\Personal Bridge Backup, sorted by device, year and month. Photos that are already on the PC are skipped, and you can let it run by itself while the phone charges on Wi-Fi, with no cloud storage plan involved.

Backup or a quick send?
Photo backup keeps a growing copy of your camera roll on the PC. To move a handful of pictures right now, tap Photos on the home screen or use Share › Personal Bridge in your gallery; those land in Downloads\Personal Bridge. For a folder you edit on both devices, use Keep a folder in sync on two devices instead.
If automatic backup rarely runs
Android decides when scheduled work runs, and some phones hold it back to save battery. Excluding Personal Bridge from battery optimisation usually fixes it: Stop Android from pausing the app.
