Use the Chrome and Edge extension

Send the current tab, a link or selected text from Chrome or Edge to your phone, and continue a page on another device.

The extension adds Send to device to the right-click menu and a toolbar button. It talks only to the Personal Device Bridge app on the same computer and makes no network requests itself.

Steps

  1. Get the extension

    The Chrome Web Store and Edge Add-ons listings are still in review. Until they are published, email projectteamforyou@gmail.com to join the test.

  2. Connect it to the app

    The extension needs the “browser connection” helper that ships with the tester package: run install-windows.ps1 (Windows) or install-linux.sh (Linux), then restart the browser. The app must be running.

  3. Send

    Right-click a page, link, image or selection › Send to device. The toolbar popup offers Send this tab, Continue on <device> and Send clipboard text. Alt+Shift+S sends the tab to the last used device.

What it can do

  • Selected text goes to the device’s clipboard; pages, links and images open there.
  • It only works with devices you have already paired, and never sends files.
  • Change the shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
