Move the pointer across to another PC
Push the mouse off the edge of your screen and keep working on the PC next to it with the same mouse and keyboard. Windows, beta.
Screen-edge crossing lets one mouse and keyboard control two Windows PCs that sit next to each other. It is in beta.
Steps
Pair the two PCs
Pair them with a link (see Pair your phone and PC). Both must run Windows and version 0.3.0 or later.
Set the layout
On the PC with the mouse and keyboard, open Screen crossing. Choose the PC next to this one and where it is: Left, Right, Top or Bottom.
Start
Click Start. The other PC approves once per session. Now move the pointer over that edge.
Come back
Move the pointer back over the edge, or press Scroll Lock or Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to return control at once.
Good to know
- Shortcuts with Ctrl, Alt, Shift and Win, and F1–F12, are passed to the other PC.
- Windows only for now.
- The pointer is sluggish? Put both PCs on a wired or 5 GHz network.
